Guys,
I have my transmission torn out of the car currently, but since I bought the car with a bad transmission problem I am unsure if the problem lies within the trans or if it was portions of the clutch.
Since I knew I was upgrading the clutch system I have 100% new components from the clutch pedal all the way to the flywheel. The only thing is, I would like to pop open the trans while it is out to inspect the gears and all to ensure I am not going to re-install everything with the trans being the problem.
Is there a way to inspect inside the trans? If I unbolt the housing cover will that cause any issues just to take a peek for any obvious issues? I am not sure if something is spring/pressure loaded that would shift once open.
Any insight would be appreciated.
