I have 660cc injectors and I set the tranlator to compensate for those but the car barely runs. Shouldn't the car run decently? I wasn't expecting anything great but I had to richen the low trim 25% just to get it to idle and it doesn't matter what I do the mid and high trims, as soon as I get above 2000 rpms it stutters and almost dies. Is this a tuning problem or should I be looking at something else?

I put in the new version 2.01 upgrade chip today.I set it to 650 injectors .I have FIC 650s.The car ran great but wanted to die at lights idle was dropping way down.Put idle up two or three clicks and its fine.It seemed to be fast and pulled clean to redline in 2nd and third but didn't go for super extended drive. Also my logger was temporarily out of commission so haven't checked trims but they take awhile for the mid and highs.I found off idle to be smoother too than the old chip.
I just bought me a nice eprom ecu so now can also go custom chip or dsm link for 1g.
NIce to have options. They say over and over again in the maft instructions only a general guide.

I'm pretty sure the injectors are 660's. 660's engraved on the side. Is there another way to tell? If it's not the injector size then what else could be causing this? Would my O2 being bad cause it to wrong like that? I'm don't think my O2 sensor is bad but it could be. I'm having problems with my datalogger so I can't log anything.

Did you just set the MAFT to the 660's with the AUX and BASE and not do anything else? You should start out with the IDLE about 2-3 clicks rich, then take her out on the highway for actual BASE tuning. The car will run enough with the AUX and BASE knobs set to the injector size, but you can't rely on that for long-term.

I have it set to 660cc injectors and the idle is at 4 clicks, but the car doesn't run above 2000 rpms I can't drive it on the highway. At anything past 1/4 throttle it will just die. The idle is pretty rough too.

Hmmm. Sounds like you might have a boost leak. Check all your hoses and couplers and make sure theyr on tight.

Also, you might want to lean the base up one click and see if that allows you to drive the car so that you can try to get a base tune.

I have a VERY similar problem. With my 650 injectors I had to INCREASE the fuel by 30% for it to run correctly (at idle) Now, with WOT runs, the car is pig rich.

With a MAFT setup, I fail to see how a boost leak will effect this. The MAF only measures air that goes through it. The chances of it leaking after the MAF are slim (at least with my setup)... especially at idle.

At the moment I can get my car to run nicely at part/half throttle. If I go over 15 PSI, the car goes all stupid and runs super rich. Quite frankly I am getting tired of it.

A boost leak anywhere is going to interfere with the way the car runs.

What are your low trims at? I had to lean up the base a whole lot, so my low trim are usually over 110. As long as they are 130 or less, the ECU still has control over it, so I wouldn't worry about it.

You guys are never going to believe what was wrong. Never in a million years would you guess this. Thats right, apparently when I had the car apart a mouse(or a bunch of mice  ) got in the intercooler and decided to make a nest and fill it with catfood. Well I never even thought to look in the intercooler when I was putting everything on and so thank god I went with a blow through cause other wise instead of 3 handfuls of catfood and rat poo being caught buy the MAF it would have gone into my engine. Guess I should be grateful for the little victories though. At least I know what is wrong with it now

P.S. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of it yesterday but I will try to post one tonight. Just picture dumping a bag of catfood on your engine :thumbdown

Yeah, that will do it. Last time my intercooler was blocked with mice, their nest and cat food, the car ran like crap!

Well, at least you found out what it was. The lesson: check your intercooler pipes for rodents when your car is running poorly. :D
