ok first off i have a 96 auto gsx. finished today with a very unrelated fuel pump install. On the test drive the trans stopped working. Was going at a steady 25mph to check my fuel trims and the rpms went up to 4k so i let off the gas. checked to see if had turned o\d off on accident. That wasn't the case shifted into neutral and back to drive nothing. coasted over to the side of the road and tried reverse. Nothing again. checked the wires, connectors. Seen no problems. Checked fluid, was full right on the money. Smelt fluid no burnt. Got it home pulled pan off, no metal except a very small amount of "dust". Check solenoids all are firing off 12 volts. The shift solenoids read 20 ish ohms, the torque converter and pressure solenoids read 3.3 ish ohms. Checked valve body all seemed intact. Note i do have the tl-175hp shift kit installed. Manual valve body is fine and moves freely, the o-ring looks intact and free of wear. reinstalled VB, filled up fluid. Unplugged tcu and still nothing. I can hear a "buzzing" when shifting into reverse and into "D" and into "L". Its very low and goes away.
That's where i'm at now.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas. I've just spent about 3k on this car and now am pretty close to being broke and really dont have the money now to take the car to a shop and get charged out of the ass. Any help will be greatly appreicate. Thx.
Also if it helps you can text me or even call at any time, i'll wake up for this. My only car and is DD. Numbers 586-209-8682, names Tim.
Thx again.

When you put it in gear the speedometer stays at zero right? If so, maybe look at the flexplate, or converter.

Being AWD it doesn't seem like it could be a broken axle of something, but looking at the speedometer could help eliminate the possibility.

LOL my speed sensors been out for a few weeks now.

i can say that last week my converter was making noise and come to find out i was missing a bolt and one was loose.

There wasnt any noise or wierd feelings. i wasnt going fast was trying to stay at 25mph.

LOL, no all the bolts are still there. i checked. And up until today car has been shifting\running great. It shifts fine at mid throttle and at redline with WOT. Only problem iv'e had is it not shifting into o\d when its cold. once warmed up everythings been good.
