Ok i can get a couple block with it work right when it's cold.
it's a 95 Talon with an AT.
But once it gets going it wont shift into 3rd gear.
Usually if it does go into 3rd, once i let off the gas it will slam into first.
The speedo also acts goofy.
Once i get going the speedo upto 55 and hangs there intil i stop.
And no i'm not going 55, i'm going like 25.
So do i need to rebuild or replace some solenoid?
Thanks for the help
Jay

I'm not positive if it would cause tranny issues, but it sounds like the vss is bad, vehicle speed sensor. unless you have a oscilloscope, you can't test it properly.

But if i do have one how would i do that?
I used to work at a computer shop thats been around since the begining of time and they have a shelf full of then :)

Nevermind, sorry early in the morning and wasn't thinking right.
I'll yank it off and test it.

It should be a sine wave ocillating smoothly. -3 to +3 volts,ac.

And check you tcu codes. I'll post a link to how to do that after work.

Cool thanks.
I don't think it has any codes.
Not to mention the battery has been out of the car for a week or 2, so it will be wiped out i'm sure.
Or does it store them on a flash ROM? That would be cool
