Looking for information from people that have put their aftermarket tranny coolers between the radiator and their FMIC? The FMIC is bar-n-plate. Just curious how the performance of the cooler was being in that location? What size cooler were you using?

Thanks!!!

I've done it that way before, but I really prefer to use a cooler with a fan on it, and mount it somewhere other than in front of the radiator. It has enough of an issue getting quality air with a FMIC stuffed in front of it (and in many cases, an A/C Condenser and/or an oil cooler).

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a condensor to worry about or an oil cooler. I think I'm going to try out the Tru-Cool LPD #4590 GVW 28,000, BTU 24,000. If this doesn't seem to work like it should then I'll try a fan. Best part about this cooler is it will fit between my FMIC and radiator without touching either. Off to one side should work best by my FMIC setup.

How are you guys running the lines to your cooler? AN lines?

I'd think stock side mount location would be a good spot for a cooler.

I'm going to run black tranny hose to keep stealth looking. I hate all the crap the runs around under these hoods so I'm trying to clean it up on my way through. The fittings will depend on the cooler I get too but I think it will be the Tru-Cool.
