Tried to hook my trans back to my engine and the rear bolt that a screws from the engine side sends to be stripped out. It is stuck in there and just spins and does not come out any ideas on how to get it out and fix it?

To get it out pry a thin screwdriver or razor blade under the bolt head as you spin it out. Once it is out you will need to pull the tranny (or engine) to fix the stripped threads. Depending on the hole, you may be able the clean it out with a tap, use a longer bolt to engage the undamaged threads further back, or get thread repair insert such as Helicoil.

Before all of this, are you sure you have the right bolt in the right spot? As I recall there are a few engine-trans bolts that are smaller than the others.

Good luck!

Mines got a stud placed in there and i used a nut on the end of it, works ,wish my stud was longer, 6 years with no problems..

Did you. Just.svrew it into the transmission stick it through hole on the block and use a nut?

I had the 12mm in the back strip out also, I just through some industrial jb on it about 6 months ago. Still holds tight.

Cleaned the hole and the bolt with brake cleaner, then mixed up a batch of jb and gobbed it into the bolt and shoved it into the hole. Zip tied it for about 12 hours and ran with it.
