yesterday i was taking off my wheels to get them prepped for PC'ing and i had the front jacked up with the car in first so i can get the lugs off, i had the driver side wheel off and i go to take the lugs off the passenger side and the wheel turned (rather freely, didn't take much force) counter clockwise meanwhile the driver side didn't turn at all.

Im not sure if it's supposed to turn, i put it in 1st for a reason. the car doesn't feel like it has much power, it runs and drives fine but flooring it doesn't feel like it did when i first got the car about a year ago.

any help is appreciated.

so with the car on jack stands and in gear the driverside wheel rotates freely while the passenger side does not check your pass side axle and brakes. Do you hear any noise from the area?

got it backwards. driver side is fine, passenger side freely rotates. i hear the rotor slightly scraping the brakes (warped? it was just put on maybe 2 months ago.) Also when i turn the wheel to the right and give it some gas i hear a slight scraping but once i straighten out the wheel it goes away. i didn't see anything wrong with the axel, the boots dont have holes, no leaks or fluids anywhere.

didnt you get the memo? its backwards day!

check to make sure your hub assembly is tight, bearings, ball joints, tie rods and depending on the make of the rotor and personality of the pedal pusher, warpage can set in mins after install.

it might be warped cause under hard braking i can feel a pulsation in the peddle.

Sounds like when you took the one wheel off the motor was on the compression stroke, then when you switched to the other side, you reversed it until you got resistance again ( pistons heading to TDC)

All this is assuming you were removing your wheels with a breaker bar or wheel wrench while it was up on jack stands.

If it drives good, you shouldn't have tranny problems

i was using a 1/4" ratched with a 3 foot pole over it. no air compressor yet.

any recommendations for a small air compressor? one to do minor things like taking on and off the wheels, MAYBE small paint jobs like wheels or something.
