tranny problem or TPS?

I just had my torque converter replaced along with my TPS but the mechanic didnt know what the hell he was doing. Now,my auto shifts eratically sometimes to early or to late, along with that, sometimes when im at a stop or on a hill and i gun the throttle, it revs up to 5000 RPM's before it jerks as the tranny finally catches. I thought it could be the torque converter but it only happens everynow and then, how do you diagnose something so random?. I also have a crappy idle problem, most likely the ISC, could that be causing the eratic shifts or the "slipping" that occurs from time to time or is it the TPS adjustment? If it is the TPS then why would it happen every now and then? I dont even know what kind of fluid the idiot put into the tranny after the troque converter replacement, might that make a difference? Also, when i have the car in park or neutral, and i put it in D or R, it jerks like a b*tch. I have a 95 auto gsx, can anyone please help?

i checked my tranny fluid, didnt smell burnt and still looked a good red. Adjusted my tps, i seem to see some differences but in the long run i still have the same problems, should i take it to a dealer, or will they tell me i need to replace everything under the hood and slap me a 4000 dollar bill? PLEASE HELP

Take it back to the mechanic that fixed the torque converter.

that is definatly a tranny problem. take it back to the mechanic.

Thanks for the suggestions fellas, but take it back to the mechanic? trust me, if it were only that easy, he refused to fix it or admit to me that anything was even wrong so the BAR helped me take him to court for my money, so now im stuck with this problem and 1500 bucks in my pocket, another mechanic, dealer, or try to trouble shoot the problem myself? tranny rebuild? how much should that cost?
