Tranny or low fluids

on my car when i come to a complete stop i need to keep my car in first gear. When i keep it on neutral and the light turns green my first gear grind like a matha and i have all my clutch pedal all the way down when i put it on gear...

could this mean my tranny is going bad or is it that it need a fluid change

also how could i eliminate the clunkyness when shifting fast.

Sounds like maybe your clutch pedal needs adjusted. I had the same problem when I bought my car. Try to adjust the rod under the dash all the way out and see if that helps.

In order adjust my clutch pedal i will need to go under the dash? When will i know when the pedal is rught where it has to be?

right now i have stock clutch and my pedal is very soft...should it be harder?

i was wondering if it could be my Transfer case or my sinchros

I think all stock clutches feel soft and they suck.

My pedal was soft and I replaced my clutch master cylinder. They seem to go out a lot on dsm's. Yes its underneath the dash, a rod comes out the master cylinder through the fire wall to you clutch pedal. Its very hard to reach. At the end of the rod is some threads, u want to loosen the bolt on it and turn the rod so there is almost no threads left so when you push the clutch it will use the entire rod to engage the master cylinder. I would try this first before replaceing your tranny or clutch.
