Tranny making noise!

K its not in gear i rev it i hear like a grinding noise its coming from my trans what can it be?
my throw out bearing?

does it make noise when its at idle? and does the noise stop when u press in the clutch?

I had the same problem with mine. It was a FWD and made that wierd grinding/vibrating noise in the transmission. I still don't know what it was as I sold it like that. I want to say clutch vibration or something. I have read about that somewhere on dsmtalk. Maybe it was the throwout bearing. If someone knows for sure please post. Thanks. Oh, and it was at idle and stopped when I pushed the clutch in. I noticed it most during a cold startup. Annoying stuff at the McDonalds Drive-thru...
