OK i was reading the clutch install on vfaq to figure outr where and how the input shaft seal goes on. OK it says to remember how the T/O bearing was positioned to put it back on, does it really matter? I am putting a new tranny in and will not be able to do that. Also where does the input shaft seal go? Does it go inside the tranny?

Yes, the input seal is in the bellhousing. It should be pretty clear once you pull the tranny or if you already have the new one you should be able to see where it goes. Also, as for the throw out bearing, it mounts on top of the release fork. There should be no way for you to put it on incorrectly unless you are removing the release fork from the tranny. Just make sure that your get the retaining clip on correctly for the throw out bearing.
