So im putting a tre tranny in my 2G along with a new clutch, some guys are telling me to put a washer behind the pivot ball to aid in adjustment. Do I need to do this?

If everything else in the system is working properly, and there was no problem before, then there's no reason to install the washer. People do it when they have engagement problems that are usually caused by a worn clutch fork/pivot ball, or pedal assembly.

Did the clutch engage fine before you pulled the tranny?

Yeah it engaged fine, so I guess I wont put the washer in then, thanks.
