tranny [flywheel] explodes

This sucks because i was getting ready to sell my car to get an evo when last night i was driving home and the transmission exploded literally. I posted the pics in my gallery. Now i guess ill keep the car because of all the work it needs

It wasn't your tranny that blew up! This is a typical flywheel explosion.

But it still sucks, sorry to see it...

Yeah your flywheel exploded. If your flywheel has serious cracks in it or any issues like that then it's going to explode. Did you lighten your flywheel at all or miss a shift when that happened? It must have happened at seriously high RPM because they don't just fall appart like that generally at 4500rpm.

Your gonna need a whole mess of stuff to get it back running. Keep a tally of it and put it back in this thread so we can see how you did. This isn't uncommon enough that somebody else may want the info later on.

Well ive been trying to find a tranny but no one had a 2g turbo tranny and i would also have needed a block. So i decided to junk it and i just got a 04 Srt-4 on friday night.
