2g tranny with 1g clutch and flywheel???

I have a turbo 2nd gen tranny and a 1st gen turbo motor and the fly wheel and clutch were left on the motor.... will it work If I left the fly wheel and clutch on the motor on and just bolted the tranny up to the motor????

Sorry I miss read your title/question. I don't think that the 2g tranny will mate with the 1g motor I believe the bolt paterns and some other small things are different.

As long as the 2g tranny is bolted into a 2g car you will be fine. It bolts up perfectly to the 1g motor. The 2g tranny will not bolt into a 1g car due to the extra mount it has.

Use a 2g clutch and flywheel.

If you have a 1G block then you need a 1G flywheel. Clutches are the same 90-99 but flywheels are different between 6 bolt/7 bolt and fwd/awd.

Is this true the clutches are the same? because I fiquered out that I needed to keep the 1g flywheel and I wasnt forsure about the clutch but tested it out and the 2g clutch bolts up to 1g flywheel...but I would rather keep the 1g clutch because it is in better condition so if someone can tell me if I can put the 1g clutch on the 1995 tranny please let me know

It is true that the clutch disc and pressure plate are the same no matter what year.

sorry but you are giving misleading information. i have a 2g tranny in my car right now it bolts right up after you simply take off the extra mount. and also im using a 1g clutch and flywheel

A 1g motor will bolt right up to your 2g tranny. As long as the flywheel that was left on your 1g motor is correct for your tranny (fwd/awd) then it'll go right together.
