Tranny Fluid

I have a quick question about different tranny fluids. Right now I have stock fluid in it, and i live in minnesota so its damn cold. When i start the car the clutch takes a while before it comes back and the shifter is hard to move. Im assuming its cuz the fluid is cold. So then, my question is if there is a tranny fluid made for cold weather. I plan on putting BG synchroshift once it gets warm out again. but if i can find one that will work for the rest of the winter that would be awesome. thanks in advance.

in the manuals it says it will be hard until fluid starts circlelating than it will become easy

The usual fluids -Redline, B&M, BG, and Synchromesh are all considerably less-viscous than the stock grease. Now then, does that mean they'd warm up more quickly or more slowly than stock?

I think either way, you're fairly well stuck with slow shifting for those first four miles or so.

Redline-MTL. It works better than most synthetic tranny fluids in cold climates. MT-90 works great for me in the 10 degree mornings here in Kansas. If it is not much colder than that, use a mixture of the two, if it is very cold use pure MTL. Just my opinion.
