Ok, I need to know what year tranny I have. I think my cables, linkage, etc are stock from my car (a 1990 TSI AWD) and my tranny is from another car, which im pretty sure is a later year meaning im having problems with shifting and i think this is why.
My tranny reads KW5M332NPZS
there was a number under this reading JD6720 and a barcode (sticker) with the numbers:
8JD6720-NP7S under it.
Now, from what I understand my car is from a AWD domestic car...but i need to know the year of this thing so i can get a seal for it and different shifter cables, base mount, and shifter linkage. I have a 90 AWD 5 spd and am pretty sure its a different year tranny. All I know is the previous owner told me he bought a tranny from another car with 80k on it.
From what I understand, my tranny is from a 92. Is that correct?
