Well I might have something up my sleeve. But I won't call it for sure just yet. What do you think the times would be with a 92 TSi AWD 5spd and these mods.

Thats the small 16g you know.
Also with the 450 injectors and sidemount anything over 16psi will blow the shit out of that engine.
 
Well I was going to buy that 1G Talon. But I bought my 96 TSi AWD.
 
Thats good because now I own it. :D
 
Motor is good for 10s maybe 9s
Turbo is good for 12s
Injector is good for 13s maybe 12s
SMIC si good for 13s maybe 12s

So right now the car with good driver is good for mid-high 12s with uprade injector.
 
Dunno yet. Got a keydiver chip here. 650 injectors on order. Got to get the ecu socketed first and injectors in. Don't want to blow it up.
It's got to be one of the lightest DSM's around. It is GUTTED. No a/c, cruise, p/s, smog, rear seats/interior and other littlier things. Still getting used to the manual rack.
I am going to weigh it soon at the MFA just to see what it's down too.

Why not, maybe he ran out of money??? Which is exactly the reason why the owner that did all those mods sold the car. He needed money for school, so he sold that car. Also, the engine is ready for a big turbo like an FP30 series turbo, it just needs the supporting fuel mods and it'll be good to go.
 
Yep. It is nice to already buy a modded DSM that is quick. But really....there is no fun in that. That is why I passed and picked up my bone stock 96' TSi AWD in mint/great condition. I ran it to a 14.8@90 the second to third week I had it. Now I already bought a couple hundred bucks in just simple bolt ons. It is alot more fun when you get to build your own DSM rather than buying a already modded one.
 
well when i get my tsi awd... im giong after brandon , then im gong to catch matt , then tyler , then trents insane fwd , then ark . If hes not in the 11's by then ..
 
This is my fourth DSM. Why do I care if I bought or made it fast? I made the last one 'fast'
If I want fast I have the nitrous fed 406 Camaro in my garage I built. The DSM won't touch that.

ECU went to get socketed today. My luck it will get fried.
Just need my injectors to get here :mad:
 
Injectors finally got here after ordering two sets. Still haven't gotten what I orginally ordered.
Got those in. Put in a custom chip and lowered the boost to 12lbs and it runs pretty strong.
Will up the boost after the a/f is more tuned in.
Had the car weighed at exactly 3000lbs with a 100% full gas tank.
Pretty good for an AWD car.
 
Have you removed the front and rear crash bumpers thats good for an other 50-80 pounds.
 
Nope. Right now it weighs in under 3000lbs even with a full tank of gas.
Run's hard.
Raced my friends 03 NA mustang 5-speed GT. His mods are just removed the 4 cats for an X pipe and mufflers. I put an easy 4 cars on him.
I can smoke all 4 tires through first if I choose to stutterbox launch it.

In my opinion, the 16g is the best street turbo out there. Quick throttle response, capable of plunty of power, cheap'sh and reliable.

Ok NOW, the bumpers are out of there. So subtract that plus a near empty tank of gas and it should weigh in high in the 2800lb region. I think thats pretty good for an AWD
I'm kind of depressed now because I think I have taken everything I can out as far as weight is concerned.

Chip has also been reprogramed again, specificly taking some spark out of the upper RPM's due to the high compression. It now runs 22psi on pump gas with no knock. :sneaky:
 
Now added the power steering and the washer bottle back in. But removed the bumpers.
Official weight 2920lbs.
This time the tiny gas tank was somewhere in the half full range though.
Still even with 60lbs more of gas and whatever power steering and washer fluid bottle with fluid in it weighs its still less or equal to the 3000lbs before when i bought it.
No gas hardly and take that last tool box out and 2899 is very possible i would imagine.
