Im wondering what the TPS voltage should read at idle and at WOT. I searched and found only percentages. My WOT voltage is 4.75V. When the car is off the throttle cable has play in it, is it supposed to be tight?

ya i read about that in other threads but that doesnt help me, i want to know the voltage, not resistance.

Ah my bad. If the resistance is ok, whatever voltage you are getting should be correct. What are you looking for/what problem are you seeing?

im just trying to see if when the pedal is all the way down that it is actually at WOT, flowing as much air as possible.

I would say if your TPS shows 100% and you look in the TB and the plate is all the way open, you are getting all the air possible, and the ECU knows it.

I remember reading somewhere a very easy way of telling if your TPS is at 100%. Take a friend and have him sit in the car (engine off) and push the gas pedal all the way down. Then you outside the car take the spring on the side of the throttle body and see if you can turn it any farther. If not then it's good.

Oh and to answer your question, the TPS sensor receives 5 volts of power but I am not aware of ANY car that sends 5 volts back to the computer. If you are close to 5 volts (like 4.75) then you should be very close to 100%.

Maybe you can try adjusting the TPS spring tension (whatever it's called) and see if you can increase the voltage. If not then you are at the car's 100%

The 2G TPS needs to be adjusted so the closed throttle switch is set correctly. voltage can be anywhere from 400 - 1000 mV
Finally a right answer.
Do not adjust the TPS for WOT readings. Set it as specified in the FSM and then look at the mechanical side to make sure the pedal will open the butterfly all the way. There are adjustments for taking out the slack in the cruise control pulley assembly and the final throttle cable at the manifold but make sure to leave the specified slack there and not overtighten the cable or the throttle won't close all the way.
