Ok I want to do the blow-thru set up with the GM MAF, etc. So far I think this is what I need:

2g MAF-T - $200
2G UICP w/ spot for GM MAF - $200?
GM Maf - What size? - $ not sure hot much
Intake pipe w/out bov return $ not sure how much
Air Filter - $50 bucks?

So does this sound like everything i need to do this? I already have a Greddy RS valve. and as far as the UICP goes, if I get one to go w/ my sidemount intercooler atm, will i need to buy ANOTHER one when I get FMIC? or will it be the same?

some people just get two 2.25 -> 3" couplers and just put the maf on there wherever they want by just cutting the pipe.. just stick it inline... I got my GM MAF for 50$ off of ebay. and i just plugged the recirculation tube on my intake till i found some bent piping to use

sounds like your set

You have everything listed that you need to do the blow through setup. As for the UICP it depends on what type of FMIC you go with. IF you use a side to side unit then you could re-use the UICP, if it is a short route setup then your UICP will require modifications. SOunds like you are doing your research though. Good luck on getting everything you need.

GM MAF will be either 3" or 3.5" and the price i will be around 150 new. I am not sure about the intake pipe's cost, I just pluged the bypass return hole and took a piece of scrap 3" exhaust pipe to slip between the stock intake and the filter. You could go the same route or make your own for allot less than you could by one. If you chose to make your own all you will need is a section of 2.5" pipe 24-30"s long with an S bend in it. Then just run a weld around each end, buy a filter with a 2.5" outlet and a 2.5-2.25 reducer and you have your intake.

Sorry for the bad grammar it is late

Yah. I didn't want to do it for awhile. But then it made since that when I DO do it, if I get another intake or something before then, then its a waste of money. So i'm just gonna try and do this first

Be aware that the MAFT is a ballpark tuner, if you are picky with it, youll need a method to tune FINER

Ya, it is just a baseline tune device....you can adjust WOT, idle and base fuel trims - but they are just adjustments usually to compensate for bigger injectors.
When getting a MAF-t make sure you get the most recent version -2.02

A good maf to use is one from a fbody, If you search there forums, find someone doing a part out, you could ge it for a good price.

Some people route the emissions lines from the stock intake into a vented catch can, or others just leave them hanging somwhere, vented to atmosphere.
Mine are just hanging right there for now, out of everything else's way. My engine bay is TOO crammed right now to be adding a catch can at this time. Once I relocate my battery to the trunk and get rid of my abs system then I can add a catch can somewhere.
