Have "YOU" ever tried it???? Didn't think so..... and if you did you too need to be banned and beheadded becaue that means you once were the same curious ignorant swine that he was. I found one at a junk yard and popped it in my gst and my turbo definately spooled alot smoother. didn't notice no 20hp. I didn't keep it in to see if it gives better milage.

Just save your 20$, or whatever those assholes are charging for that thing. It hasnt been dyno proven worth a shit, and anything that someone sticks in their car... and 'thinks' its got 20 more hp ( or 20% or whatever) is an asshole and should be ignored by everyone. That is all.

In that infomercial they show a bottle of water before and after the tornado effect, it makes it seem so efficient, but it don't work the same way in a car...
Especially not after what a turbocharger compressor does to munch up the air.

No, they're crap. I know, the dyno needle under the BMW looks really good. But it's crap.

because they have money up the wazoo. they make like 900% profit on each one, and have sold millions.

it works that way, but the air and fuel isnt mixed in the intake prior to the tb, LOL. what a dumb gimmick.

There actually was a dyno test on one of those (possibly in Car & Driver). It showed NO gain in HP. Don't waste your money.

I read an article from some automotive magazine or other that actually tested the thing on several different cars. All of the owners said they noticed a performance improvement. I turned out when they dyno tested that there was no increase.

Kind of like a placebo effect for cars.

It's like a psychilogical thing really..this old civilian got one for his new Altima..he says 'i do get better gas mileage, and I feel a little performance inprovement'..I keep trying to prove to him that it doesn't, but he's a stubborn old man..so oh well.

I was watching tv one day and there was this star shaped piece of metal known as the tornado, they were saying that it can be installed on any car into the intake pipe. IT is suppose to increase HP and gas milage by forcing the air into a sharp stream into the intake system.....

Im not looking to get this for my ride, but would this application really help gas milage b/c that is a big concern of mine.

Looks like a gimik to me.. but whatever

G

It has no use on any vehicle, and if anyone tells you it does, they're stupid as a bag of hammers. It can only hurt performance, being a restriction in the intake.:thumbdown

Yes it will help gas milage.
Anytime you put a restriction in a MAF intake, the engine gets less air and thus requires less fuel.

Hurts power too :D

But what about the "better horsepower" they advertise?
