Well my stock tranny finally decided to take a crap on me. So i got my car torn apart as im sending it off to shepard to get it rebuilt... So in the time being im upgrading my Fmic to a better one and my turbo as well.... My problem that i am having is deciding between either the RS49 50 trim or the NEW RS52 60 trim, both from AGP. Now before anything i already got dsmlink and will be ordering some injectors this week or so.... I really hear good things about the Rs49, but also hear that some wished they couldve gone just a tad bigger... I dont want anything over 4100rpm for spoolup though... so both turbos should be fine in that manner... Also on the AGP website it shows the Rs52 Dyno sheet at 25PSI getting 461whp and 406 torque... Im mainly going to be running max of 22psi.. My current knowledge of the turbos are pointing me towards the RS52 just to have a little room to play with, but it gives me this unsure feeling becuase its new and not widely used yet.....oh yeah i also wanted to know which would be better using pump gas? Im guessing the 50 trim?? Please help me choose the best between the two....

id call agp up and ask them.. they deal with them all day long maybe they could help you better

I run the AGP RS49. The reason I am not running the RS52 is because I got this turbo from a tuners member, absolutley unused, NEW! For about 3 bills less than from AGP. I would go with the 52. It is a bit more than the 49, 30lbs/min. I don't believe it would be outrageously more than the 49 but like you and AGP say it's a tad more and $50. less right now! I would run 710-720cc injectors, planning on 710's myself. If you've got or are going to have the supporting mods I would not flinch myself. Right now I am running on my EVO mods so I am limited to 13 PSI but it spools quick. I'm shooting for 18 PSI unless I get the 6-bolt I have sitting on my garage floor rebuilt. 22 PSI would be MAD! I would go with the RS52, looks like it can make good power. The 49 may be better on pump gas though.

I have the RS49 because the 52 wasn't avalible when I purchased it. If it was I still would have gone with the 49. I run my car everyday and it sees nothing but 92 or 93 octane. I run approximately 20psi or less on a daily basis commuting. I turn it up when I have to but for the most part I keep it pretty low. The 49 is a good performer if not better than the 52 for what I use it for. The only way to tell the difference is for me to run a 52.
