My Talon was totaled out a few years back for a engine electrical short/fire directly under the engine bay main fusebox. I rebuilt it by hand. I didn't have a garage to work in at the time and wasn't able to do as good of a job as I wanted to. I have been fighting electrical system gremlins more and more recently. My new major mod is going to be DSMLink but I can't see putting it in with a junky wiring harness. I picked up a used wiring harness in good condition from DSMTrader for cheap. I started tearing the Talon apart to replace the wiring harness and fix some misc rust, stripped bolts, broken bolts etc. I took off both fenders to chase down some rust etc and was surprised to see how much dirt was backed in behind the fenders and the fronts of the side skirts! Looked like I took the Talon muddin! Of course the top bolt on both front fenders that are in the door seam broke as did the two bolts that fasten down the bottoms of the fenders under the car on both sides. I'll have to zip those flush with a Dremel tool, center punch them, drill them out and rethread them. PITA! I'm going to clean and undercoat all of the inner fenders and the lower radiator mounts. I'm also ordering a new hard lower intercooler pipe. I had kinda forgotten about that the stock rubber one was stick on there.
