tool much play in steering

So I was having a little fun with the other night with my talon, it awd and did some donuts in it. And not very many maybe five. And now I it seems to me that I have a done more play in my steering. And also it pulls to the right now. I looked and I have nothing leaking and everything seems to be in place. But it still doing it. So can anyone help me ?

I would take it to good year or where ever you go and get them to do an alignment, they will also tell you what you "NEED" to get replaced then go home and check for your self, and quit doing doughnuts.

That's what I'm thinking. But why would I have all that extra play in my steering wheel?

Could have a outer tie rod let go...if that were the case it would be way off...you need to pop the wheel off to find out. If a bushing goes it will have some play as well.

I would jack the car up and make sure your ball joint nuts are tight. Take a gander at the tie rod ones too while you are at it. About a month after I got an alignment, I started to notice that the steering drifted a bit back and forth depending on load/braking, etc. I crawled under the car and discovered that the ball joint nuts were backing off. Tightened them down and everything was nice and sturdy from then on.

Check the bolt on the collar where the steering column spline connects to the rack. Under hard use (i.e. donuts), it can loosen up and start slipping.
