Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience, last night something happened to my car and I would like to know if I can help?

When checked at the gas station the engine was all right, normal, no excessive temperature, not boiling water, no oil leaks, no bad tension in belts

So I booted up and went to my house ... nothing unusual ... I thought it was just bad luck, a bad time or something, when I came to my house and let it cool I came to check if the CAS has been the cause of bad spark at this moment

So when I decided to turn it on when the engine cool and I shocked to hear a Ticking sound too strong from the head of the engine, immediately turn off the engine and tried to check something but did not find anything abnormal, well I was not able to thoroughly review it was night

This morning I checked the oil level ... all ok, check coolant level ...... all ok, check if there was coolant in the engine oil, or backwards, but everything clean.

So today I decided to turn the engine and wala!, The noise was gone and it appeared that everything was fine ... then decided to leave his warm to normal temperature and everything worked ok.

Decided to come to work ... and arrived safely, all ok

Then a moment ago I was called to move the vehicle because they could not park another car, when I turned on again ..... : sad: the same sound again ...

The oil pressure is normal on the dashboard of the vehicle, I did service 1 month ago and the oil is still clean ...

Lifter can be a hit so hard? hear strong noise!

Can you help me? Thanks!

Theres are the possibilities in the order from least severe to more severe.

1. Lifter tick (replace your 1g lifters with some nice 3g ones)

2. Timing belt auto tensioner is shot

3. Rod knock

Without hearing your actual engine those are the 3 things that come to mind when i hear ticking/knocking from the engine.

a loose spark plug wire can sound like a very bad tick if it's arcing to something under the hood. A bad exhaust manifold gasket can also sound like a very bad tick which would also account for your low boost level. It would really help if it were possible for you to get video.

Oh and by the way street racing=bad:nono:

If you have an exhaust leak around your manifold, it will sound like crickets when you rev up. Have someone rev it up a little bit and listen under the hood around and make sure it isn't a leak like that.

Many thanks to you all for your help.

Actually this happened to me last night and today, then I have not had time to post a video or at least one audio file to listen to ...

A moment ago I went to turn on the car for a while just to listen for the sound .... I removed the cap from the oil and clearly heard the sound simply comes from the cylinder head.

I went a few days with the exhaust leak and it was not like the sound that you hear now.

I also once went to the oil level was low and the lifters were making a clack clack clack, but very weak, even when the car was very cold towards clack clack clack but little was heard

Now the sound seems to come directly from the cylinder head, removing the oil cap you can see, I feel that the sound is too strong to be a lift, but I have to disassemble to check.

A friend told me it could be a bent valve or rod knock, but I do not know.

I see that does not keep the idle speed, this is between 800 and 1000RPM, but hold the throttle at 1300 RPM for example feels good.

Tonight or tomorrow morning I shall be posting a video or sound and will also be reviewing the car to see if I find fault.

Sorry for my bad english jeje, I'm still learning!
