I just bought a 95 Tsi and it has alot of mods, one of which being an hks 3 inch turbo back exhaust. the car is pretty loud, a little louder than id like. is there any way to fix this? can i cut off the current muffler and get a quieter one? or would i need to consider a whole new exhaust setup?

Use some grammar and/or punctuation.

Is this really effective? my buddy acutally has an extra glasspack laying around from his GMC Sierra. do i just cut off the old muffler and clamp on the new?

for sure it will work my civic with a header sounded liek shit and was too loud, i put a glass pack on and it sounds badass................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?????????

If you were to add a glasspack, you'd add it inline with the current muffler. This would, logically, seem like a good choice, seeing as how it elimitates many lower frequencies.

another choice would be to add a resonator, or another muffler in line. or, if the cat has been taken out, put a high flow cat back in.

since you're only from connecticut, i'd take it off your hands if you decide to get rid of it. send me a message if you want to sell it.

would putting on a glasspack increase spool time? i have an 18g turbo running about 17psi. also, to add it, do I just cut out a section of the exhaust piping then throw in the glasspack? there doesnt appear to be any removable secions from my exhaust setup, but i do have the resources to do some cutting.

yea just add a 3" resinator or a glass pack and it will quiet it down alot for sure. People come into my work all the time and ask to quiet down there exhaust, I add a resinator and there happy. Yea just cut the section out somewhere for it to fit and clamp or welde it on.

eventhough you didn't want to get rid of your exhaust i'll answer your question anyway. YES, cut off a section from the mid-pipe (same lenght as the glasspack) and replace that section with the glasspack putting it inline with the whole exhaust. if you still want to get rid of it, let me know...
