Anyone done anything to quiet down their Walboro 255? Mine sings like crazy! It’s almost louder than my 3” exhaust!

Its possible that it is not wired correctly, and that it is straining itself to flow more fuel. I know that the 255 should be a tiny bit louder, even if that - but it shouldnt be screaming at you.

They are louder that OEM for sure. But after a week or so you will not notice to much. Mainly when the wife/gf gets in and starts to ask WTF.

ROFL My wife doesn't even ask anymore, she just does this  :toobad:

Explain? By not wired correctly, do you mean is it still on OEM wiring?

I have rewired the pump straight to the battery (via relay). The pump sounds like fuel pumps that I've had before. I just wondered if this particular FP was louder than others. It was installed on the car when I bought it 2 years ago.

I have a Walboro 255HP and it doesn't whine that bad. I am use to it by now. My buddies in his 2G is a lot louder for some reason. Maybe I just got lucky.

I have heard some loud walboros before, most of them wined louder from low voltage like someone said earlier. You said you rewired it already so try turning up the radio and see if that quiets it down.
