Just wanted some insight. I drive my car daily and every other weekend i drive it round trip 250 miles. 90 percent of the driving is at 75mph. At 75mph in 5th gear im turning 3300rpm.

To those of you with the taller 5th what rpm are u turning at 75mph.

Getting ready to send my trans to jack and want to know if the taller 5th will drop the rpm enough to be worth the extra 200.

I have a taller 5th (supposed to anyway) from Jacks and perhaps it's just my car but I feel I need a 6th gear. At proper speed limits it'll drop you down to mid to high 2000 perhaps low 3s but when I cruise at 80+ I'm around 4k.

I see around a 300-400rpm decrease at 75mph on the Evo 3 5th gear. It is your call on spending the additional cash for the parts. Personally, I prefer the DSM 5th gear.
