To Much Oil Pressure Bad Thing?

Well finally after couple years of saving and waiting for the right deals. I finally got the car back together. Built motor but its a 7 bolt. Everything is new. Got rid of the balance shafts still running the turbo off the ofh. I have a 18g on the car now. Main question is to much oil pressure bad for the motor. On a cold start up its around 100 psi at idle. Once warm and drive it around it goes down to 35ish. Babying the car around about 4k I am about 100 psi there. I have put maybe 20 miles on it since rebuild. Dont really know which way to go here. I heard people porting the ofh and I heard putting restrictors in the oil filter line to lower oil pressure to the turbo. I think thats why it blows a little smoke on start up. Any ideas which way to go. Thanks for the advice

Yes, too much pressure can cause problems. If you haven't ported the OFH, do it now.

Too much pressure can cause the shaft of the turbo to be pushed to the exit side where it can increase wear on the shaft and/or bearing. There are other threads here on how it will also slow your turbo's spool-up.
