Quick question. Max tire size on a 1g rim with coilovers. (I looked my best but I am still confused). Also I wanted to know best tire. It will be a Street car. I would like to spend >$125 per tire. My real question is I want a summer tire since this car will never be driven In the snow only the rain, however I want to drive the car during the winter and don't want the tires to turn into hockey pucks. Anybody have any suggestions. Side note my girlfriend bought me a dsmtuner hoodie for Xmas and it's awesome!!
Thanks
John

Coil-overs should not affect tire width on stock DSM rims. The tire width chart in this thread for the "safest" maximum width based on rim width:

As far as tire selection goes, you will need to do some research on tire choice that will best suit your needs/budget. Check out the reviews of your top candidates to see what others are saying about that tire. f it is performance you desire, check out drag/autocross threads or sites. I would say though, unless you opt for an all-season (three season) tire, a "summer" tire should not be used in winter condition/temps. Summer tires are designed for optimum grip in temps above ~50 degrees. Winter tire compounds are much softer so that they still perform well in low temperature environments ( this is why they are not recommended year round). Unfortunately, there won't be a tire that will perform well in both conditions you ask. Perhaps you can spring for a summer tire of your choice, then in spring, search for steelies and used winter tires.

While it is absolutely true that a summer tire will lose performance as the temperature drops, they (typically) won't exactly become "hockey pucks". I could actually drive my GSX in the snow with Yokohama s.drives. It wasn't ideal, but certainly possible. Never was a problem in the dry down to 0* as long as I wasn't driving like a madman. However, as the cold weather does make the rubber harder; The tire tends to "dry rot" more quickly
