tire rotation safty?

i havent had a TON of experience with cars cuz im only 17 so sometimes i ask stupid questions and this might be one of them but i just wanna be sure, my front tires are totally bald, they probly have 1/8 inch of tred in the deepest part, and my back tires have plenty of tread left on them. Should i put the bald ones on the back until i can afford to buy new tires? I just dont wanna lose control of my car on the wet days around here, just wondering what the safest way to drive would be. thanx in advance.

Yes Id say swap them around,but you really need to get new tires. Even used ones with better tread than what you have now.

neither, get mom and dad to buy you new tires (or loan you the money for them if you REALLY don't have it. 2 front tires, should be about $100 - $120 installed). It really isn't safe running with those tires on your car, front or back. Here's the dif tho. On the front, when you brake hard or turn sharply, the car could slide, in the rear, when you turn the tires could lose traction when you turn and your rear end would slide, causing the car to spin. This is in wet road conditions, btw. You should be find on dry pavement.

just tell your parents you really need tires on your car and its unsafe. have them loan you the money or ask if they can pay half or something. rotating will be a temporary solution but still unsafe. get a nice set of new ones

yea they wont give me anymore money cuz i still owe them 1200 for the car but yea im gonna rotate them and i got a friend that works for a local dealership so he's gonna try and get me 2 70% tread for like 70 bucks, thanx for your imput!

1/8th " tread? That shouldn't even have the wear bars flush. They'll do fine on the rear. At 17, we know you aren't going to be trying any "performance" driving anyway.

uhh unless your being sarcastic then thats correct but @ the same time incorrect. I TRY alot of stuff, but i am 17 and i will admit im not that smart so i do alota stupid shit to/with my car, i just like to have fun... again thanx for your imput on my tire problem

1/8" tread isn't that bad. That's 4/32", and most tires start at around 10/32" if I'm not mistaken. It might cause you some trouble driving through deep puddles, but other than that you should be fine. However, rotating your tires is a good practice anyway; I definitely recommend putting those puppies on the back. You might as well have the stickier tires on the drive wheels.
