The Highway Patrol are the worst.

Funny story....My friend once got pulled over on the highway for his tint being too dark (he had 5% all around). The cop told him that since it's illegal then you can't drive the car so he can either (a.) call a tow truck or (b.) give him a razor.

You best believe my friend took that razor blade and went to work. That shit was funny as hell. He was so pissed...hot ass day standing along the highway peeling tint. ROFLROFL

That's messed up. But, what can you do. Because of the laws, I wouldn't go darker than legal on any window except maybe the back windshield.

roads around here suck so my friend who had some 18s was surving around the pot holes got pulled over by statepolice then they ended up giving him $400+ of fines for his windows being to dark

He doesn't care. Judging by his posts in this thread he is young and hasn't grown out of his "rebel" stage... He will learn one day. I must admit the tint looks good but it's not worth the troubles you will run into with the law.

You dont know anything about me...
Just because I like tinted windows has nothing to do with me being a "rebel", or whatever.
But yes I will tell you I am young, I'm 18.

Nope but I've seen one at an audio shop and it was the most retarted thing that I've ever seen. But hey, whatever floats your boat. I just think it is very unsafe and it is going to get you into more trouble than you know.

Ah, thats what I thought.
Seriously though, you sound like my dad.
But the car really isnt bad to drive.

I like the look. Very clean, although the red across the top is more personal preference.
Seriously, I like what you've done, but seriously, I won't drive if I know you're on the road with me.

Have any more pics? Interior, looking out, would be nice so we can see how dark it really is from the inside

I'll try and snap some shots from the inside if I remember.

But thanks everyone for the compliments and non-compliments!

well i live in washington state and here 35% is the legal limit. but i was thinking of doing 20% on the drivers and pass side but for the back three im doing a 15% tint so it shouldn't be that much as tickets or cop trouble wise. How much did it cost you to get it done? its costing me $220 for the tint or i can do any percent for the same price.

i dont know how much it will cost for my car, but i think i want like 20% all around or like a little lighter in the front and 20 in the back or 20 in front and darker in back

Take that red strip off the windshield, otherwise the tint looks really good.

You are right, I don't know anything about you but your posts and actions say ALOT about you and your respect for "the law."

Having a modified car is breaking the law. So going by your logic you also have no respect for "the law".

I have 40% on my windshield and 5% all around and I have had no issues. The tint on the windshield isn't bad at night, and it keeps the in car temps down during the summer. I've had it like that for about 3 years now and haven't had a single problem.

Maybe having a modified car is breaking the law where you are from. Everything I own is completely street legal here in Louisiana. Nice try tho and good for you about not having problems with your tint... yet.

Yea...,
Uh, to the people asking about price.
I paid $110 for all of it.

Errr, no.

Check my mods and VALID/LEGAL inspection sticker for confirmation. :)

I bought my MODIFIED GST from a cop ROFL

It came out nice bro.

I really like the tinted windshield, I had 5% all-way around on my Neon and it was hard as a Mutha-F! to see reversing at night. Even seeing on the sides of me at night on the highway just looked black!

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but our side windows read ~11% lower than the tint rating that is applied.

Some say this is due to not having 100% transparent glass.

My windows have 50% tint, and I actually got pulled over for it. The state patrol metered me at 39% and gave me a fix-it ticket. One of my friends has 20% and got tagged with 9%.

Something to keep in mind.
