scarborough,
ok i can't seems to get my crank sprocket to line up with the timming mark, oil and b-shaft is ok.it is a 93 so the mark should line up at about 10 o'clock, but i turn and i turn that dam thing and the only time i can get the #1 cyl to the top is at 7 o'clock.why is that?was the sprocket been removed and not replace correctly? as for now i have in stalled the t-belt with it at 7 o'clock it seems to spin without hitting anything.what should i do?

I would make sure that the #1 piston (closest to the timming gears) is at TDC when the timming mark on the crank is actually in line. I just take the spark plug out and put a long screwdriver on the hole. Turn it over by hand and see if the screwdriver rises all the way up when the mark on the crank is lined up. This will let you know if the belt has skipped. If it works and the timming marks are off you may have bent valves.

If the piston does not come up all the way then take off the crank pulley and take off the thin plate that actually has the timming mark on it and flip it over and reinstall. It goes on two ways one will line up the other will not. Once it is flipped try and SLOWLY turn it by hand and see if the piston goes up all the way with the crank lined up.

I hope this makes sense if not let me know.

sorry i think i should have given more info...car was a timming victim.i was spinning the crank itself and could not get it TDC at the timming mark only at 7o'clock.so i guess i'll have to pull the sprocket and flip that thin plate with the notch in it to get it line up? do you have to use a gear puller to the out the sprocket...i don't have one,is there anyother way?

It may be on tight but it will come off by hand. Other then that it sounds liek your timming just skipped.
