I have searched and researched and read and read about this. Can you or can you not adjust the base timing on a 95 talon. I have read that you can use the CAS to adjust it on the 95s but not on the 96+ then I've read that you cant adjust it manually on any 2g whats the deal. I read you could from a very reliable source I want to say it was 1000 allready answered ? not sure.

1g cars you can adjust the base timing. 2g cars you can not. Where does a 1995 car fall into? I guess I always thought of 1g cars being 90-94, and 2g cars 95-99. So most likely you being a 95, you can't adjust base timing.

I would think the only way to adjust base timing would be to notch out the holes on your CKP sensor to make that adjustable. Not completely sure though, as I do not own a 2g. That is how most newer vehicles work though, you can only change the timing by moving the CKP.
The CMP sensor would just be used to sync with the cams, somebody correct me if I am wrong.
