Well got the car all back together. Started the car and let it idle. All of a sudden the engine started rocking back and forth violently and I killed the car. the timing slipped 3 teeth off the cam gears. Is my new head fuxed? found the culpret was a bad auto tensioner. I have a new one on order. Do you think the valves could possible be allright if it happend at idle and I killed the car as soon as it went sour. I just need the car to run.

Yea I think your alright, after you get the new tensioner check compression, that should give you some idea of the condition of the valves.
