Timing map for new engine

Hi. I was wondering what world be safe timing map for new engine with 10.5:1 cr and e85 fuel. Is it ok to use stock 2g map or do i need to lower it with this high cr. Just need to break in before dyno adjustment.

My engine is 10:1 on E85. I started with a stock 2g map and then worked it up from there. It is the least aggressive timing map to start with, between the 1g, 2g and Evo maps.

Ok thanks! I will probably just try stock map too then. Aint running much of boost while break in but never been this high cr so better be on safe side.

Agree. The 2g timing is more conservative so start with it like 90% of tuners I have worked with do and you should be fine. After my break-in and tuning, I was WAY up in timing AND boost (21* and 40lbs), so staying low on boost and timing for now is the best for it.
