2g timing map vs evo timing map

I don't know if I am reading this wrong but it looks to me that the 2g timing map is more aggressive than the evo 8. Is it just me but comparing them side by side the 2g looks like it runs more timing.

I haven't looked at them but I can you tell you that it probably does.

2g Dsm stock = 8.5:1

Evo 8 stock = 8.8:1

2g's run more timing stock because they have lower compression. Same reason stock 1g's run more timing that 2g's.

They also run more boost on a larger turbo with a bit leaner fuel map.

The stock/mod1 Evo tables are much better for running high boost on a small turbo. But if your looking for a really aggressive tune, the Evo GSR tune is a great place to start. I always base my tune off that and I run E85...

I used the ralliart tune as well but it killed my power in boost. Had to change it up some myself. It had me running 5-0° timing. Its a good tune to base with though.

^ Really? With the GSR tune you should see mid-high teens during WOT. I usually only end up adding a few degrees here and there.

Yeah it was putting me on the bottom line at like 2-3 degrees. Only way reasom I got 5-6° was because of my timing sliders.

I thought we weren't suppose to cross flash roms I went through and changed it by hand in the map itself. I know when I flashed new new timing map along with the tube I did made the car super slow.
