I recently did my timing belt job and followed the instructions on the vfaq site. So, here's what I'm confused about. In the timing belt instructions it says to rotate the tensioner Pulley counterclockwise so the two holes are under the bolt, tension it with the special tool and torque the center bolt. Which I did. But now looking at the checklist it says to rotate it clockwise and the reference pictures on the site show the holes above the center bolt. I'm about to drop my engine back in and I want to be sure I did it right. I measured the auto tensioner gap with a drill bit hours later and it fell within the specs.
So which way are you supposed to rotate the damn pulley?

Ok so ccw is for sure correct for a 2g. Also the holes were alitte past halfway (closer to the idler pulley) is that normal or should they be directly below the center bolt? Everything was new and I'm using fidanza gears
