Would the timing belt being off by one tooth cause massive amounts of misfire at idle? Just got done rebuilding my head, and my car is idling extremely rough. I managed to get the idle around 750 rpms but it misfires frequently. Maybe my ecu caps need changing, or my coil pack/transistor is going...my cams and the crank are off only by one tooth, should I redo the whole timing belt and see if it makes a difference? Any input would be well appreciated! Thanks.

Hmmmmmm...didnt think being off by only that much would be so critical...thanks fellas! I guess this my idle is so shitty...

For anyone that is still reading this thread, I redid my timing belt, and my idle is now rock solid. None of my valves were bent as I get a fairly good compression reading. My exhaust cam was off by one tooth which caused my idle to go to shit because all my compression was going down my exhaust pipe (exhaust valves were opening a little to early). Thanks everyone for all their input.
