Ok guys so my inner timing belt snapped and my big timing belt is missing teeth. This happened while I was going 45mph so I'm sure I have valve damage. But how can I be sure and do you guys think I should fix my n/a 4g63 or get a new car how hard would it be to fix? I need advice I love my dsm but I don't know what to do? I'm not mechanically retarded but I have never did anything of this magnitude and I don't have much money. Thanks for advice I need all I can get.

You will start with either removing your valve cover and checking for visual damage( rockers not on lifters anymore). You can check your timing. I am sure you are off. Options to bring at back to life at a reasonable cost find someone selling a good condition head and get a mitsu balance shaft eliminator kit (inner timing belt kit). You should be able to aquire all parts for around 300 or less. Look on other posts for how to install the head and bse aswell as timing belt. You can also refer to the handy mitsu repair manual. Just have to hope there is no major valve to piston wear.

You can visual inspect for thrown rockers or blatantly bent valves by pulling the valve cover, as 91mitsuman suggested. If everything looks satisfactory, pull the plugs and try to rotate the engine by hand using a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar on the crank. Without the plugs in, there shouldn't be much resistance. If you are able to turn the engine over by hand, perform a leak down test. You can find the procedures for that here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/338152-compression-leak-down-testing.html

Rockers are what the lobes of the cams hit right? well if that's the case like 4 of them just fall off I touched are the suppose to be like that? And how har is it to change the head I've had like 4 ppl tell me its really really hard. And what about the balance shaft? Thanks guys for the help I don't want my dsm to. Die

Changing the head is relatively simple. You will need alot of gaskets, and have to put a new timing belt on the motor

I know I need a new timing belt LOL its seems a lot easier to change then I thought it would be. But back to the head coming off can I leave the intake mani. on when I take it out? And how hard would it be to swap out pistons at this point? Because if I am going to have it apart why not build it up,
Re manufactured head
Turbo 1g pistons
Head gasket
Timing belt kit
And can I driv with turbo pistons in untill I get money for turbo and every thing else

Switching to turbo pistons is gonna be a pretty good loss n/a. (way lower comp. ratio.)
To switch pistons the right way you need to pull the motor and at the very least cylinder hone.

Pull the head with the manifolds attached. Much easier.

Thanks for the input I thought I could just swap them out, if I took the oil pan off and with the head off. I guess its staying n/a haha

And I kno it would lower compression. I want to turbo my car and I won't have all the money to do it right away. so I was asking if it would get me 2 and from work and then when I get all the bolt ons bolt them on..

You can change the pistons with the motor still in but its alot of work. You have a n/a motor so your block will be missing the oil squirters that the turbo blocks have.

I have read 100 time oils squirters are not needed? Couldn't I just undo the rod caps and push the piston and rod out the top of the block? It seems simple to me mayb I'm missing a lot of steps tho??

They are helpful to have. Im pretty sure you can only run without them with some aftermarket pistons. But I may be wrong on that. As far as changing pistons while in the car, it can be done but is not convenient and you still have to hone the cylinders.
