Timing Belt Kits

Can anyone recommed the best place to order a timing belt kit from? Who has the best price and wont rip a leg off for shipping to Canada?

Are these ebay kits garbage ?

I wouldn't say that kit is garbage because I've never used it, but as far as the timing belt goes I've heard its best not to go for a "performance" timing belt and to stick with OEM.

This kit uses OEM parts and includes your: Timing Belt, Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley, Balance Shaft Belt, Balance Shaft, Tensioner Pulley, and the Water Pump with Seals and Gaskets. Hmmm that price seems way to good. IT says OEM but that doesnt mean their Mitsubishi parts? I dont wanna skimp out on the job, I just dont wanna get ripped off either.

Well OEM stands for "original equipment manufacturer" so I would assume that they are mitsubishi parts but you can always just message the guy and ask.

Hmm, the one auction says OEM parts, while the other lists the Mitsu part numbers. For timing components only use Mitsu parts, its not worth it to save a couple dollars & lose a head. They both "seem" to be selling Mitsu parts but at those prices I don't know how they can be.

I have always dealt with www.ongreenperformance.com and they have very fair pricing on their tb kits. They use a contitecch belt(supplier for mitsu) and the last one I got from them even had the oem part# on it. I have used one on my 92 tsi for 5 years and one on my 93 that I sold a year ago which both are still working great. I have had a couple of friends use them also and have yet to have an issue with them.

I used a contitech timing belt kit also, and then bought an ITM waterpump for like $40.
