Timing Belt from Autozone

Is it ok for my 1990 eagle talon AWD Tsi?? What about a kevlar and where do I get one?

Right now I'm on the timing belt that came in my rebuild kit, it's going fine.

As far as kevlar, Slowboy offers one from HKS and one from GReddy. They aren't the only company that offers them, and I suggest you shop around. But here's some links to get you started:

find out what brand of belt that autozone sells and do a search to find out what other people think of that brand. i know it auto zone but they may sell good belts like gates

Change your auto tensioner while you are in there. Most belt failures are due to the fact the tensioner has just given out and can't take up the slack. That is as important as which belt if not more important. Do use the best grade of belt you can get. Like most others, I use the Gates belt. You probably will find that most other retail outlets use Gates belts under a "house brand" name. Just make sure you set it right because you get only one chance to get it right.

We run nothing but Autozone belts in our 3 DSM's.....unless you're in the high horsepower zone (700+) they should be sufficient. By the way, Autozone sells Gates belts.

+1 for an OEM belt, they are not that expensive, and you know the quality!

autozone sells the goodyear gatorback belt, it works just fine. ive used it in at least 10 cars. and have had 0 issues.
