hey,

can someone explain this whole timing and knock thing for dataloggers to me pleeeeeease? i've got palmnstein and i dont really know if what i know about this is correct or not. does less timing mean more knock? how much timing is too much? what is my timing at idle? where should timing be when at WOT?

also, does anybody have the snjrt30.exe file for use with palmnstein's player? i've been trying to download it but the connection breaks every single time.

sorry for the stupid question, thanks for your help!

you cant read knock sums unless ya got a dsmlink..etc.

were you should be depends on your set up. a stock DSM should be able to get 20-26 deg of timming at the top of 3rd. ( bigger turbo, etc prob less timing ) knock is 'pre-ignition' normaly associated with a lean condition.
