I have searched a bit and I think the reason my belts are squeaking is because the PS belt is loose. But I can't figure out how to tighten it, I tightened the alternator belt but i can't figure out the PS belt. Any pictures or detailed instructions would be great. thanks,

BTW; the squeaking only happens when I first start it up when it is cold and goes away after it is warmed up...

There are 4 bolts on the pump bracket (2 on each side) You'll need to losen those and then pry the pump forward with a big screwdriver and then re tighten the bolts.

right behind the pulley on the top theres a bolt that you'll loosen. then theres another on the opposite side next to the manifold. loosen that one and pull the power steering pump closer to the front of the car until the belts tight and tighten it back up. pretty simple, but easy to overlook how its done. good luck.

Like the others said, the PS pump doesn't have an semi automatic system, like the AC & alternator. You have to losen off all the bolts that hold the pump to the bracket, pry the pump towards the front of the car & then tighten the bolts back up. The two bolts that are on the drivers side of the bracket are hidden behind the pulley. But you'll notice there's two holes in the pulley, if you rotate it properly you will be able to access both bolts through the openings.

Yeah i had the same problem and not only is it embarassing but it's annoying as hell. find someone to help you and take a screwdriver and stick it between the pump and the engine then pry towards the front of the car (this may take some strength) while someone tights the two bolts on the PS pump bracket.

Alright, thanks guys I'll give it a try soon. I'll let you know how it goes,
