I started my car late in the day today, for the first time of the day. I heard a loud ticking. I popped the hood and listened with my ear to it..it was the top of the engine by the injectors..It was a loud ticking, i think it was too loud to be the injectors but it did sound like the injectors. I believe it was ticking yesterday too but i sprayed it down with engine degreaser and thought maybe that was why but its still there..It sounded like it was either in the injector area or cylinder head.. but the cylinder head has less then 500 miles on it, just had it shaved surfaced, valves reseated, new seals, so it can't be that.. After a few minutes it stopped ticking.

lifter tick, pretty much something every dsm motor will do untill you a)clean them or b) replace them with 3g revised lifters...by the way, mine ticks also untill I rev it up high then it goes away for a while, its and off/on thing, kinda annoying but not causing any harm its more embarrasing than anything, makes your car sound like it's a P.O.S even tho it still runs and pulls hard. I plan on replacing mine soon.

I hope that's all. I don't need anymore crap. the ONLY thing i havent replaced in this car in the past month is the clutch which i plan on doing an 8lb with maybe an act clutch or similar. I hope its just lifter tick.
