I just bought a 1995 Talon ESi a few days ago with a rebuilt motor and 25,000 miles on it. I was driving it around a small amount tonight (about 5 minutes) and when I got out I hear this ticking/knocking from the right passenger wheel area while the car was idling. I opened the hood and you can slightly hear it near the passenger wheel area, but no where else. It's also pretty noticeable from inside the car, but not while moving (I don't know if it goes away, or if I just can't hear it over the noise of the car). It's a constant ticking noise that happens about 3 times every two seconds.
I've searched around and haven't really anyone with the same exact question. Some people say that the belts, specifically the tensioner, make a ticking noise. If it was this belt, how would you stop it from ticking?
Thanks.
