So last night I'm putting on my wheels and I grab my 4 way and start tightening my lugs a bit before i put it back on the ground and I hear this almost clanking noise.. so I put the car on the ground and grab the tire at 9 and 3 and rotate it forward and it looks like the wheel actually shifts forward an inch and makes that clanking noise... what could that be?

I would jack the car up in the air again. With the car in the air try and move the tire, if it moves around alot its def. your wheel bearing. If its clunking and movin forward its your ball joint. Double check and post back with results.

Basically it clunks when I "roll" it forward when I grab the tire at 9 and 3 and roll it forward hard. I don't really feel motion if I grab at 12 and 6 and wiggle or at 9 and 3 and wiggle, only when I grab at 9 and 3 and forcefully roll the wheel forward and then it makes the clunk.

Then i would check you axle cv's and then check your balljoints. You axle cvs you will beable to tell if the are bad cause if the boot is torn you will beable to see grease everywhere. Also like wise with the ball join check and see if the boot riped and there is any grease. But i would be leaning more towords a balljoints.

So I figured out what it was... passenger's side lower control arm was fully tightened and I was still able to move it up and down over a quarter of an inch. It was lucky that it didn't fall out on my 100+ mile trip home with it. The drivers side already has a new one in it and a cv shaft, so now it will be just changing this one..
