Hey whats up guys. Update.

I had the Flexplate changed. I found it at www.partznet.com for under $30... then all was well....

Till about a few weeks ago.... i started to hear the dealy rattle(ticking) again. So at this point I'm  . So i put it up on the lift at school...
And guess where the sound is coming from.. :cry:I looked for ne cracks visable but could see any. As i further inexpected i notice that, one of the bolts holding the trans housing to the engine, was lose, enough for me to take it out with my hand. this can't be good. I also notice that ther was a gap between the housin n engine about, 1/8". So i looked for more bolts, couldn't reach anymore than 2. ( only one bolt was really lose).

So i take it back to the guy who fixed it the first time. And he look at it and said that the flexplate was cracked again. when i told him about the bolt being lose he said that my TORQUE CONVERTOR may be bad. Causeing the vibration. which losen the bolt and thus crackin the flexplate.

So may questions to everyone are:

1.Do you think it possible a bad torque converter can cause a bolt to come loose and cause a flexplae to break?

Or

2.Do you just think (reasonable guesses) that he might of just forgot to thighten the last bolt?....

Please respond as soon as you can... i need my baby for work...

injector tick :thumb:

mine does it too, when i put the A/C on and the idle drops, you can hear the injectors ticking away like little machine guns. when you got your tune up, did they replace to seals on the injectors? happened to me when i put new seals and rings on my injectors after my rebuild.

but if you said it's not coming from the head, then nevermind

hey your not the only one having problems. i have the same issues as you. sounds loud near the intake manifold then even louder at oil pan. i have no idea what it could be. we just dropped about $5000 rebuilding my engine top to bottom. main, rod bearings. pistons, rings, seals, brand new built head. whole mess of shit. and about 1700 miles later i got that tick tick tick tick tick. it sucks. i can't figure it out. something is wrong with mine. i have a 1992 Tsi AWD. manual transmission. could it be the flywheel? it sounds like there are bolts rattling inside the oil pan. i am afriad to drive her but have to get to work and school. is it stupid to drive it, yes i know. but i have to, have no other rides.

that rattle nose is coming from the transer case to the drive shaft. its the round cover that is right where the transfer case connects to the drive shaft. im not sure if it means ur transfer case is going bad but my 91 talon tsi awd A/T does the same thing and i jus sealed it w/ gasket sealer and it stops the problem for awhile. when u go to school put it on the hoist and check where i told u where the problem might be and if its lose there u go, u found ur problem.
