Got a set of Tiburon Black leathers for my GST, the OEM were looking pretty bad... I will need a bracket made for the seats to fit just right, so I might just make a little tech tread.

Those seats look really good and very similar to the oems, keep us updated. Go to a junkyard and see if you can find a tibby you can snag the brackets out of. It'll be a lot easier to use those and modify then to make something custom. You might even be able to modify the stock dsm brackets to work.

I was looking at the OEM drivers side.. It has a bracket that turns in from the outer side.. If I can get that and flip it to reach the Tibby seat, then I'll be good. I'll take pics of the entire process, I love how close to OEM the seats look.

I like it. Can't wait to see what it looks like when they're in. I was thinking about putting RSX seats in mine. Wish I could afford the Evo's Ricaro's..

Looks like a good way to upgrade the seats on a budget. Please post up some pictures of the finished product and maybe a how-to!

They feel a bit more snug than OEM.. the brackets place the seats too far forward so it seems I will have to do some major fab work to get them just right. I pulled the carpet, console and panels today, cleaned the hell out of everything. Fourteen years of use gave way to some interesting stains and dirt. I'm 6'1" and I'm thinking of removing the OEM floor brackets and welding then about 6 inches back to make them sit just right... I'll get pics of the process as soon as the weather clears up enough for the fabrication work. This should be interesting.

It looks like these might have a little bit bigger bolsters than 1g. Which I would personally prefer for the secure hold.

Ravensfan: I've made a bit of progress, but I'm in no rush to make it look like trash. I'll post pics when I find out what's really gonna work. This went from a "Simple adapter fabrication" to a rather large project( cutting and welding of OEM metal is required). I'm removing the OEM seat brackets, and fabricating a safe way to center up and bolt on the Tibby seats. Oh and, even with the siders all the way back, the seats were too far forward... I'll try my best to make it worth the wait.
Ripper: The bolsters feel stiffer than the 2G bolsters, they also seem to stick straight out compared to 2gs. I don't remember 1g seats... so I can't make a comparison.

I took the adjustment brackets out and just custom bolted my seats in at the desired length from the pedals.

Less weight. I'm 6 or 6'1" so the reduction in height wasn't a problem, and probably beneficial for handling. Never had any issues with letting people in and out, but I don't have back seats. So.. Heheh

I love reading tech stuff on how you make it work, be sure and document it if you can.

BTW, they look good and sporty

Also when you finish, would you mind snapping some pics of the bracket? I found some local tibby seats for cheap that I might pick up.

I will document the whole thing... I think these are the best OEM seats we can get considering the Tibbys are newer than our DSMs and we stand a better chance at finding seats in good condition.

putting honda parts on a dsm? WTF!! isn't that a little bass ackwards of what normally happens? LOL just messing :p

How much do they weigh, is what I want to know. I might find a Tib at the salvage yard.

:hands rubbing together:

Course the guy's asking too much lately for parts. WTF Perhaps I may as well look at race seats.

How much did they set you back?
