Tial wastegate on Evo3 16g questions

I will be getting a Evo3 16g when i go to do my turbo upgrade, with supporting mods.
I have a question about using a external wastegate on the turbo. A local guy is selling a ported evo3 exhaust manifold and o2 with a Tial 40mm external wastegate mounted on the manifold for 500$$. I was just wondering if that would be alright for that turbo. Is it to much or any problems with running that? I have a Apexi n1 downpipe which i think is 2.5" and a 2.5" test pipe and Apexi n1 cat back already just so you know what exhaust I'm running. I plan on having the turbo ported to when i buy it.
Is there anything wrong with this setup up or anything i should now about. I am still somewhat new to all of this but i was figuring i can buy the manifold and o2 already ported by a good shop in the area and if it already comes with the wastegate then its good cause I have seen someone run a external on a evo16g but it was a smaller Tial so i wasn't sure if it mattered

Yeah. There's a lot wrong with that. First of all, it's too much damn money. You can buy a really nice aftermarket O2 housing with a 40mm Tial on it for less than that. That way, you only have to remove the flapper door/arm off the turbine housing and weld up a little 1/2" hole. Mounting the gate to the manifold, you have to weld a plate to cover up the wastegate hole in the turbine housing. Honestly, if it's just a 16G, port the wg hole and stick to an internal gate. Save the $500 for something else.

What would be a good price for this setup then? Im not dead set on getting it I just thought it would be a good combo for the price if it was alright

Listen to the man....get a new EVO3 ported with 34mm internal wastegate on ebay for $550.

There is no good price for parts you absolutely don't need. Only good price is free, or something you can buy it for and resell for a profit.
