Tial wastegate on Evo3 16g questions

I will be getting a Evo3 16g when i go to do my turbo upgrade, with supporting mods.
I have a question about using a external wastegate on the turbo. A local guy is selling a ported evo3 exhaust manifold and o2 with a Tial 40mm external wastegate mounted on the manifold for 500$$. I was just wondering if that would be alright for that turbo. Is it to much or any problems with running that? I have a Apexi n1 downpipe which i think is 2.5" and a 2.5" test pipe and Apexi n1 cat back already jsut so you know what exhaust im running. I plan on having the turbo ported to when i buy it.
Is there anythign wrong with this setup up or anythign i should now about. I am still somewhat new to all of this but i was figuring i can buy the manifold and o2 already ported by a good shop in the area and if it already comes with the wastegate then its good caus ei have seen someone run a external on a evo16g but it was a smaller Tial so i wasnt sure if it mattered

An external gate will be fine. You just have to make sure and weld the wastegate flapper on you 16g shut if it isn't already. The size of the wastegate that you get wont really matter.
